No Matter What It Looks Like Don't Look Back!

Hey BeYouties,

Have you ever found yourself drawn back to something you knew wasn’t in your best interest to go back? Whether it’s a past relationship(friendship etc), job, ambiguous situationship, or a time in your life when things seemed great but your heart wasn’t fully invested. I am reminded that our decisions shape the course of our lives.

It's almost as if our fate is already known. Just like in the tale of Lot and his wife in Sodom and Gomorrah. (Genesis 19)

Lot, his wife, and their daughters resided in the sinful cities of Sodom. When destruction loomed over the cities, the Lord spared Lot and his family due to his connection with Abraham. Instructed by angels to flee without looking back, Lot's wife disobeyed, leading to her transformation into a pillar of salt. Her fatal mistake stemmed from an attachment to the wickedness she left behind. It brings to mind the adage, "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."

We often find ourselves fixating on past temptations and regrets, our hearts torn between what-ifs and surrendering to the divine. While nostalgia may tempt us to revisit old habits or mistakes, we must acknowledge that some paths lead only to further sin and despair. Looking back, I realize that dwelling on past missteps serves no purpose, for they only led me astray. It's a reminder to focus on the present and the path ahead, rather than being ensnared by the allure of what once held us captive.

Similarly, our actions and decisions reflect where our hearts truly lie. It’s easy to get caught in the thoughts of our past life but what good did our past life/decisions offer us? Our true growth and fulfillment come from looking forward and trusting in God’s plan for us. It takes courage and faith to let go of the past and embrace the unknown future. As challenging as it may be, we must be willing to leave behind what holds us back and step into the new beginnings God has in store for us. Our treasure should be in the promises of God not fleeting pleasures of the past. There are many negative

Remember, God's plans for you are far greater than anything you can imagine. By letting go of your old ways and fully committing yourself to Him, you are opening the door to blessings and opportunities you never thought possible. Don't let the enemy deceive you into looking back at what you left behind. Keep your focus on God and trust in His perfect plan for your life. The journey may not always be easy, but with God by your side, you can face any challenge with strength and courage. Embrace your new life with faith and confidence, knowing that God is leading you toward a future filled with hope and purpose. Trust in Him, and you will never be disappointed. Let go of the past because God has a new future for you. God will ask you to let go of good things for better things. So remember, don’t look back.

Isaiah 43:18-19 (NKJV) Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old.

19 Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness. And rivers in the desert.

Prayer: Lord, help me to not look back but to move forward into your beautiful plans for me. Help me to remember that the story I will one day tell is how you did not fail me, and how you saved me, fought for me, and covered me. Father, let my life be a representation of your love for me and an example for others. Amen!

I love you always!
