Battling Unbelief
A small part of my heart buried deep there is a portion of unbelief that I have been carrying and God exposed it first thing this morning. I had to repent, and I mean repent. My tears have been heavy because I never want to disappoint my Father. Holy Spirit led me to Mark 9:24 about the story of the man who had unbelief over what Jesus could do for this son. He said to Jesus “But if you can do anything, take pity on us and help us”, Jesus responded and said “If you can? “Everything is possible for one who believes”. From the moment the boy’s Father spoke those words he already had unbelief in his heart for if not his response would have been different. It teaches us to be mindful of our words and what we speak out of our mouths. What does an unanswered prayer say about our level of faith? Many of us believe that we are walking in more faith than we really are. Unbelief is something that we all battle. But we must remember that we are not alone.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding in all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your path. Psalm 3:5-6
As Holy Spirit began to speak, He began to tell me you’ve been afraid to move, you have been afraid to go further, you are afraid to do the things that I have spoken to you because you don’t believe they will happen. You don’t believe that the things I have said will come to pass. You secretly carry unbelief. You say you have faith, but it is very small. Many of us believe that we are walking in more faith than we really are. After hearing the words of Holy Spirit, I realized there had to be a renewing of my mind if I wanted to see things that I had been waiting on God to do in my life.
