Happy Mother's Day to my very own Mom! I love that we set aside a whole day to honor and celebrate the women that have raised us. Whether it be mothers, grandmothers, aunts, sisters, cousins, friends, surrogate mothers, or guardians they have sacrificed so much for us.
As a mother, we are often hard on ourselves when it comes to our children. We often tend to question " Am I doing enough"? , "Am I a good mother"? and many other questions that bombard our minds. The answer is Yes! I often question myself constantly on my job as a mother. Especially when I speak with my own child. Although he is a grown-up now, I still ask myself did I do all the right things. I find myself saying "Oh I wish I could go back and redo this". But the unfortunate things I can't. I can only do what is in the now. My son may not always make the right choices that I want him to make but I still love him and I am proud of him. Our children may not always go on the path that we as mothers want them to go. They may even reject us throughout their adult lives. Just know that you did your very best! You may even be a mother that works a lot and you may feel guilty. Don't allow the guilt to consume you. You are enough! You were purposed to be a mother! God chose you for such a time as this!
So on this special day, I want you to know that your work doesn't go unnoticed. You hold it together through the roughest waves and embrace the calm before every storm. I want to encourage you today because you will one day find yourself sitting across the table from your child(ren) and you will begin to realize that you did all the right things.
"Reward her for all she has done. Let her deeds publicly declare her praise". Proverbs 31:31
Enjoy your special day ladies! CELEBRATE!!!!! Jesus Loves You!!
